Mahraj's Kitchen @ Little India, Ipoh

After ages we planned a family outing to Gopeng. We started our journey around 2.30pm to Gopeng and leave Gopeng around 7pm to Ipoh. As we were hungry we planned to have our dinner at Mahraj’s Kitchen as it is located on our way back home and my family love spicy foods. The Mahraja’s Kitchen is located at Little India, Ipoh. The restaurant offers a wide varieties of South Indian Cuisines. The restaurant was full house when we arrived but thank god there was an empty place at the corner of the Restaurant therefore the staff let us seat there and when we were leaving I spotted people are queuing for place. The ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming. We ordered South Indian Taly Set C (Chicken), South Indian Set B (Fish), Hyderabad Chicken Dum Briyani, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken 65 (Regular), Tandoori Chicken (Regular), Fried Pepper Chicken (Regular), Mango Lassi and Orange Lassi.

Mango Lassi was okay. They do use fresh mangoes to make lassi but the drink does not stand out as the yogurt was a bit sour (Too Fermented)
Mango Lassi @ RM 6
South Indian Taly Set B (Chicken) was yummy but the potato dishes are a bit sour, Non Vegetarian dishes are good.
South Indian Taly Set C (Regular) @ RM 8.90
South Indian Taly Set C (Fish) was good. There was a big slices of fish in the gravy and the gravy was thick and spicy. My sister loved it.
South Indian Taly Set C (Fish) @ RM 9.90
Hyderabad Chicken Dum Briyani was awesome. A lot of different spices in the Briyani makes it perfect. They also very generous with the Chicken pieces.
Hyderabad Chicken Dum Briyani @ RM 8.90
Tandoori Chicken was a bit blend (Not enough of flavouring).
Tandoori Chicken (Regular) @ RM 8.90
Chicken 65 was delicious, tender and moist. The sauce gives a beautiful flavour to the chicken.
Chicken 65 (Regular) @ RM 7.90
Prawn was cooked perfectly and for the price I paid, the prawns are really big.
Fried Pepper Prawn (Regular) @ RM 8.90
Perfect family outing. The foods are tasty, good service but be patient to wait for the tables during dinner hours as it will be full house but don’t worry they have a place to sit for waiting customers. Foods are priced reasonably and ample of parking available in front of the restaurant therefore no parking difficulties.
