Maharaj @ Jalan Raja Dr Nazrin Shah, Ipoh

Celebrated my Boyfriend Birthday at Maharaj with my sister and Buddies as he love Indian Foods. Therefore, I called them in the morning to make a reservation at 7pm since I scared it will be full house. Maharaj is located in between Impiana Hotel and Istana Ipoh. Maharaj serves a mixer of North Indian and South Indian foods. The restaurant was filling up quickly during dinner hours so it is advisable to make a reservation before planning for a dinner. I ordered Mango Lassi, Iced Lemon Tea Koli Curry (Chicken Curry), Chicken Varuval, Aloo Gobhi, Garlic Naan, White Rice, Dhum Briyani (Chicken) and Rasmalai.
Mango Lassi was a bit savourish.
Mango Lassi @ RM 6.90
Garlic Naan was perfectly flavoured with garlic. It was so good. Garlic Naan @ RM 3.90
White Rice @ RM 3.50
Dum Briyani (Chicken) was yummy. Wonderful flavour with tender chicken chunks. Every spoon was yum.
Dum Briyani (Chicken) @ RM 16
Chicken Varuval was well cooked with spices.
Chicken Varuval @ RM 15
Chicken Curry (Koli Curry) was delicious, thick and 4 pieces of chicken was inside the curry. Good to go with White Rice.
Chicken Curry @ RM 15
Aloo Gobhi is a dish where cauliflower and potatoes cooked with spices and tomatoes. It was well cooked and tasty.
Aloo Gobhi @ RM 10.90
Rasmalai was a bit sugary for me but it has a good flavour. Lovely Balls in sweetened milk flavoured with nuts.
Rasmalai @ RM 6
Perfect birthday celebration with my boyfriend, sister and buddies. They are good in recommending dishes to the guests and the recommendation tasted pretty good. All the dishes are tasty expect Mango Lassi and Iced Lemon Tea needed some improvements.
