2D1N Melaka Trip Itinerary - Food & Sightseeing

Melaka is a place where you will find authentic Nyonya and Portuguese Foods. Some of the famous foods at Melaka are Chicken Rice Ball, Satay Celup, Cendol and Seafood’s at Portuguese Settlements. Therefore, I planned 2D1N trip to Melaka with my boyfriend, sister and friend as I wanted to try their popular Chicken Rice Ball and Cendol. Moreover, my sister and friend is first time being to Melaka and I will be their tour guide for this entire trip. All the prices stated below are for 4 Pax.

Day 1
6.30am- 8.30am: Ipoh – KL
9am: Breakfast at Restaurant Bestari, Damansara Intan (PJ)
The best Teh Tarik restaurant in Damansara Intan and it is one of my favourite hangout places during my college days. The restaurant serves nice Mamak foods at a reasonable price. Do drop by to try their Briyani for lunch. Yummy!!

12.30pm: The Baboon House @ Heeren Street, Melaka
Best Burger cafe in Melaka according to Trip advisor. A unique cafe that serves western food. You are not allowed to take photo inside the cafe except the photo of the foods but the service was good and value for money.

3pm: Hotel Fenix Inn
Hotel Fenix inn is located nearby Mahkota Parade (10 minutes walking distance) and A Famosa (300 metres away) which is convenient to walk around. The hotel offers free WIFI, free Jockey service for the guests, complimentary water, & coffee making facilities and air-conditioned room with private bathrooms. Good and friendly service.

5.30pm:  Dinner at Portuguese Settlements
If you are looking for fresh seafood, try Portuguese Settlements. There are many stalls available for the guests to choose from and please come early to avoid crowd. Moreover, it is also a pleasant and breezy place to enjoy dinner since it is located near to the sea. A must try foods: Joe’s only mango juice and Portuguese Baked Fish.

8pm: Jonker Walk
Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday there will be a night market with good and cheap foods. Other than that, it also a nice place to buy good souvenirs for friends and family.

8.30pm: Jonker 88
Jonker 88 is a famous restaurant in Jonker Walk for their delicious desserts. The restaurant is like an olden coffee house and it is a self-service restaurant. Be early for dinner or supper as the Cendol was sold out by 9pm.

Day 2
9am:  Breakfast at Kedai Kopi Chung Wah
The famous restaurant in Melaka for their delicious Chicken Rice Ball but you have wait for at least 30-45 minutes if you go there after 10.30pm. Therefore, be early as it is one of the must eat food in Melaka and you will be amazed by the taste.

1pm: Nadeje Patisserie Cafe
Nadeje cafe is a popular cafe in Melaka for their simply heavenly and delicious Mille Crepe. Customers always rave about the excellent crepe that you can only find in Melaka. They offer a great service and Free WIFI and relaxed atmosphere.

Try Restaurant Nyonya Makko for a decent Nyonya food. A simple interior with value for money. Popular Dishes: Ayam Pongteh and Udang Sambal Petai.
