I wanted to try Ruay Thai Street Food as I always see this place is crowded with people whenever I pass by. Ruay Thai Street Food is located next to Maybank SS2. The restaurant serves limited choices for the customer. Their menu is just 2 pages but don't worry they serve famous Thai Street Food and Beverages. Couple of people occupied the restaurant when we arrived around 7.30pm but it started filling up quickly later on. The ambiance of the restaurant was simple yet comfortable for a quick meal. I ordered Basil Pork and Rice, Phad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Tako, Seafood Tom Yum Soup and Spring Roll.
Spring Roll was too crispy but the fillings have a good Black Pepper taste. Does not require any sauce to go with it.
Seafood Tom Yum Rice was good. You can choose to have with rice or noodle. It had a good combination of spicy and sour.
Seafood Tom Yum Rice @ RM 16
Basil Pork and Rice was the best dish among all the dishes I tried. It was spicy and has its own flavour.
Basil Pork and Rice @ RM 8
Phad Thai was mediocre. It does not have any taste. You have to add your own seasonings to enjoy them. It just tasted blend.
Phad Thai @ RM 8
Pineapple Fried Rice was okay. They are generous with the pineapple chunks but their carrot was not fully cooked yet and the fried rice does not have strong pineapple taste.
Pineapple Fried Rice @ RM 8
Tako was tasty and not too sweet.
It was an okay dinner for us. Maybe can drop by to try their Basil Pork and Tako. The price range RM 8- RM 10 except the seafood Tom Yum Soup.
