My Boyfriend loves Yong Tau Fu and Chee Cheong Fun therefore I Google for place that serves best Yong tau Fu & Chee Cheong Fun in Pudu. The outcome of my research was Restaurant Yap Hup Kee, the most recommended restaurant for Yong Tau Fu in Pudu. So we went there for lunch. They only serve Yong Tau Fu, Chee Cheong Fun, Loh Shi Fun and Beverages. You have to choose your own Yong Tau Fu and noodles at the entrance before getting a table to sit. They have both indoor (Air- Conditioned) and outdoor seating area (Open Spaced). We choose a couple of Yong Tau Fu, 2 Plate of Chee Cheong Fun, 2 Bowl of Loh Shi Fun and 2 Barley. After ordered, we find our own place to sit. It was crowded when we arrived at 12.30pm but full house at 1pm. So be early if you wanted to drop by for lunch. Once seated, a guy will take your order for drinks. The foods served in less than 5 minutes. So efficient and they never miss out any foods and I was pretty impressed with that. They manage to handle so well even with so many orders. Thumbs up!!
Loh Shi Fun Curry was tasty. The curry was thick, spicy and it tasted similar to my favourite Chee Cheong Fun Curry in Ipoh.
Loh Shi Fun was delicious. When you mix the noodle and minced pork together, it was heaven. A simple bowl of comforting noodle.
Fried Yong Tau Fu was little oily to my likings but when you eat it together with the noodle it tasted good.
It was an okay lunch for us. Price was a great drawback. Food was okay and not that extraordinary to pay RM 43.05 for foods & drinks. Second visit? Will think about it. I can eat better & cheap Yong Tau Fu at Pasar Pinji, Ipoh.
