Restoran Kim Wah @ Menglembu

Kim Wah is my boyfriend’s family favorite place for dinner. According to his mum, this restaurant will be full house around 7pm on weekends and it is always good to make a reservation to avoid the waiting time. In addition, it is best to drop by around 6pm-6.30pm as at this hour, the restaurant will be less crowded and the foods will be served quickly. Restaurant Kim Wah is located at Menglembu, Ipoh. They serve varieties of Chinese Foods. We were greeted upon entering the restaurant and the staff seated us on our reserved table. A couple of people occupied the restaurant when we arrived at 6.15pm but all the tables were placed with reserved sign. But don’t worry, they do have upstairs to accommodate the customers but whether it’s reserved or not, I don’t know as I never went up to take a look. The ambiance of the restaurant is something similar to the Chinese Wedding style restaurant.

Vegetable dish was tasty. We ordered this dish to be one of the vegetable dishes in our meal but it tasted pretty good too.
The Prawn was big, meaty, and fresh. I loved it.
Salted Egg Chicken was irrestiably delicious. Tender and juicy chicken pieces in delicious salted egg sauce. Delicious!!
Assam Fish was super duper yummy. It has a rich Assam taste and also the fish was so fresh that just melts in my mouth. Yummy!! One of the best Assam Fish I had in a while.
It was super duper yummy dinner and now I know why it is so popular among the locals as the foods are delicious. second Visit? A big yes for me. Remember to make reservations on weekends if you don’t wish to wait long for the foods. The total bill was about RM 180 for foods and drinks (We ordered 1 Pork Belly Dish, 2 Beer and 1 Pot of Chinese Tea which is not included in the blog post).
