En route to the Taj Mahal, I saw the life of people living nearby the Taj Mahal. Poverty Initially, I thought AGRA was well-developed area like Kuala Lumpur. To my surprise, the place was still undeveloped. For most of us, visiting Taj Mahal once in a lifetime is a dream but for them, it’s just a building that they can see every day.
Taj Mahal, a magnificent building that attracts people from all over the world to admire its beauty and I am proud to say I am one of them too. It is my dream to visit Taj Mahal, THE 7 WONDERS OF THE WORLD. Thanks to my Boyfriend, Sister and friends who accompanied me through this journey. According to the articles, it’s best to see the sunset from the bank Yamuna River and I just followed it. We were guided by the small kids from the village nearby to the Bank of Yamuna River and he guides us with the perfect spot to take the Taj Mahal photos. Thank you little boys. It was so beautiful that I couldn’t wait for tomorrow to explore it.After the amazing sunset, our driver brought us to the Agra Marble Emporium to witness the marble making process. All the marble art works are handmade and it takes really a very long time to finish even simple design and the price depends on the gems on it and also how long it takes to make it. My Boyfriend bought a Simple frame plate that has a Taj Mahal Art Work on it for INR 2700/RM 169.81 after negotiation.
On our way to our hotel, we drop by MCD to take away some snacks that we cannot get in Malaysia. We bought Paneer Burger and Veg Pizza. Both taste yummy. I loved their cheese sauce.

Next day, we started our journey 5.30am from the hotel to see sunrise at Taj Mahal. It takes about 15 minutes to reach Taj Mahal from Wyndham Grand Hotel (Orient Taj Agra). Our driver drop us at East Gate to buy ticket. Then, we took a rickshaw for INR 100/ RM 6.29 (2 person) to drop us in front of the Taj Mahal as NO POLLUTING VEHICLES are allowed within 500mts radius of Taj Mahal. Parking facility is available at Shilpgram for Eatern Gate & Amrood-Ka- Teela for Western gate. The Taj Mahal ticket cost us INR 1000/RM 62.89 per person for foreigners and it includes Mineral Water and Shoe Cover. Exactly at 6am, the gate is opened for tourist but it takes about 30 minutes for us enter the main entrance after the strict check-up at the entrance. Our photographer was already waiting for us at the main entrance of Taj Mahal. Yeah!! We recruit a half-day photographer to take our photo at Taj Mahal and Agra Fort at INR 5000/ INR 314.46 (Unlimited photos).

Taj Mahal, a stunning and gorgeous place to visit in INDIA. It gives me peace and calm feeling while I was there. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal in 1931-1948. Love is in the air!! Such a lucky woman she is!! We spend golden 3 ½ hours in Taj Mahal, exploring it and also taking awesome pictures as memories. For me, the best time to visit Taj Mahal is from 6am-8am when the crowd is less and that is the time you can have the entire Taj Mahal for yourself.
After Taj Mahal, we went Agra Fort by rickshaw at INR 60/ RM 3.77 per rickshaw (4 person) so that we can save time by walking under the hot sun. Entrance fee is INR 500/ INR 31.45 per person for foreigners provided Taj Mahal entrance ticket (same day)is shown when you purchase the ticket. If not, be prepared to pay INR 550/ 34.59 per person for foreigners. For me, it is a nice place to explore but not much things to do except the view of Taj Mahal from the Agra Fort. So we just spend about 1 hour there before we call it off a day.
Open: Sunrise to sunset
Distance about: 4.7Kms from Agra Cantt Railway Station

We have our lunch at Thaaliwala. It is a good place to have filling lunch but if you are non-spicy eaters, I guess you have to ask them to tone down the spiciness level.
