We celebrated our 6th year anniversary at Serena Brasserie, Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur. Both of us love SEAFOODS, so we were attracted to their Fresh Market Dinner Buffet. I called them one day in advance to make a reservation and they even called me on my reservation day to double confirm my reservation. So sweet of you guys!! Serena Brasserie is located at Level 1, Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur. We were greeted by the receptionist at the entrance and she seated us in the 4pax table. A couple of people occupied the restaurant when we arrived at 7.30pm. The environment of the place was perfect. A lush garden with a grand waterfall provides a relaxing dining experience but the lighting was a little dim to take pictures for me. Fresh Market Dinner Buffet Weekday @ RM 130.20 per pax.
They have different counter for Fresh Seafood, Salad, Soup, Fruit, Dessert, Bread, Malay Cuisine, Chinese Cuisine, Pasta Corner and A La Minute.
All the dessert was delicious and I have no complaints about it.
All the dishes from this counter is A La Minute (Paella, Risotto, Portuguese Stew, Pasta, Mashed Potato With Lamb Shrank, Grilled Dishes and Pan Fried) For Paella and other seafood dishes, you got to select your own seafoods from the counter and ask the Chef to cook for you. Give the table number to the chef while placing your order so that once the food is made, it's easier for the staff to serve it to your table.

Grilled Sausage and mushroom soup taste a little salty for me.
Mashed Potato with Lamb Shrank is perfect. It's a combo made in heaven for me. Seafood Paella and Risotto taste good as it looks. I loved their Risotto while my boyfriend loved their Seafood Paella. Combination of juicy mussels and Portuguese Stew makes this memorable dish.
Grilled Salmon served with a mildly flavoured sauce was perfect. Inari was tasty but other Sushi was just okay to me. Their Aglio Olio is a little bland too.
Midway of our dinner, the staff brought us a surprise cake to celebrate our anniversary. Thanks to Mr.Kenneth, he just made our day. We really loved the surprise.
Overall, it was a perfect celebration for us. Service was excellent and the food was delicious although some dishes are so-so, most of their foods are damn good. Did not manage to try the Malay Corner and Chinese Corner as we were too full from trying all those A La Minute Dishes so I cannot comment much on that. Sorry guys!! Based on what we tried, it's really a good buffet for us. Any recommendation for a good Japanese Buffet in PJ/KL? Do let me know? Thanks is advance!!
