INDIA is the best place to enjoy a vast variety of Street Foods, Celebrations, Shopping and Culture. Besides that, it is also the home to one of the 7 Wonders Of The World “TAJ MAHAL”. Therefore, I planned a 6D5N trip to India. It’s my 6th year ANNIVERSARY Trip but rather than travelling as a couple, we decided to travel in a group of 5 people (My Sister, Friend, My Boyfriend Sister and both of us). My sister and I frequently travel to South India so basically it’s the other members first time in India therefore we became their tour guide for this entire trip. We have been to India a couple of times but we never step our foot in North India. So it can be said its our first time too. Our main goal for this trip is to cover the GOLDEN TRIANGLE which is the three most popular destinations in India (NEW DELHI-AGRA-JAIPUR)
Cost Breakdown of our trip (per pax):
Flight (Airasia) 960
Food & Admission 500
Car Rental 300
New Delhi (Hotel Wood Castle/3 Nights) 190
Agra (Orient Taj Agra/1 Night) 127
Jaipur (Hotel Trident/ 1 Night) 158

12am: Muradabadi Shahi Biryani & Chicken Corner @ Jail Road, New Delhi
Worth visiting if you are looking for food around 11.30pm whereby most of the Restaurant/Hotels are closed at this hour. Best part of this restaurant is the foods are priced reasonably.(Very light on the pocket)
Recommended Dish: Chapati
Address: E-68, Gurunanak Pura,
12.15am: Sandoz Family Restaurant @ Jail Road, New Delhi
We were guided by the car driver Mr. Samir to here since we wanted to try some Kebab. There were plenty of options available for Kebab at the outlet but not everything was good. The price was okay and not too expensive.
Recommended Dish: Paneer Tikka

Hotel Wood Castle, has very good review in Tripadvisor for a budgeted hotel and also ranked 21 among 706 hotels in New Delhi. The hotel offer Free WIFI, Complimentary Water, Big Mirror In The Room & Toilet, Mini Fridge, Air-Conditioner, Private Bathroom, TV, Wardobe and Free Breakfast. Outside may look assuming but the inside was very nice, clean and welcoming. Besides that, we were also upgraded to Super Deluxe Room at ZERO COST because of their special promotion. Fantastic service from the staff. They were very kind and willing to help us out in any situation and they make our stay more memorable and happy. Prefect place to stay in New Delhi.

They have 3 types of breakfast choices to choose from (Western, Continental and Indian). I chose Indian food as my breakfast. I ordered Poori and Orange Juice. Poori was very filling and yummy too.
11.30am-12.30pm: Jama Masjid
Jama Masjid, a splendid Mosque builds by Muhammad Ali Shah in the typical Mughal Style with 2 Minarets, 3 Domes and it lies to the west of the Hussainabad Imambara. Besides that,it is also the 3rd largest Mosque in the world and largest Mosque in India. The place was so attractive but it would look better if it is well taken care off. Architecture like this should be well preserved for the future generations!!
Total Spendings: INR 100 (RM 6.30) To the person who will be taking care of the slipper/ INR 300 (RM 18.91)per Hand phone and camera.
12.45pm-4pm: Chandni Chowk
Shopping and street food paradise for everyone (Locals & Tourists). This is the place where you can buy anything and everything from a gorgeous Lehenga, Saree, Punjabi Suits to beautifully crafted jewellery. Besides that, most the clothes here are the latest Bollywood design. I don’t have to wait for a year to get this latest trend in Malaysia. We even bought Lehenga, Saree Blouse and Saree for Deepavali. Now, I am in a confusion on what to wear for Deepavali. Hahahaha!! Not to forgot the foods we tried along the way in Chandni Chowk. Thank god!! We didn’t experience any worst food in Chandni Chowk.
4.30pm-5.15pm: Lunch At Karim’s, Jama Masjid
Karim, a well-known hotel in Chandni Chowk for their Briyani and Kebab. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed with my experience especially after having heard about the great food offered by Karim’s. It did not live up to its fame. I am sure Delhi has much more better to offer.
Recommended Dishes: Butter Chicken, Kheer, Kheema Naan and Aloo Palak

A glamorous place with plenty of photo opportunities everywhere. I am glad that I get a chance to glimpse sunset in Humanyun’s Tomb. My advise is to drop by this place for their Sunset.

7.30pm: Mc Donald’s Family Restaurant
You may think, this is just another MCD however this is far from the norm. In India, you can get vegetarian snacks and burgers. Surprisingly, they were delicious too. My favourite would be their Panner burger.

Beautiful property with spacious and charming room. The hotel offers Free Breakfast, Complimentary Water, Mini Fridge & Snacks (Chargeable), Sofa, Writing Table, Dressing Table but NO HOT SHOWER FACILITIES and AIR-CONDITIONER. Furthermore, it was very hot during our stay. Maybe they should invest a bit more on Air-Conditioner. You know, India weather is freaking hot and without air-conditioner I guess it is a tragedy. Gorgeous resort!!

One of the disaster meals we had during our entire trip. The place was overrated and very expensive for super spicy and masala food that I don’t have a heart to have a second serving. However, I was hungry after all my walkings so I just mix the rice with tonnes of their yogurt and eat. Such a pity!!
Recommended Drink: Sweet Lassi
