Nong Mai by Soi 19 @ Damansara Utama

When the cravings for Thai food strikes and its past 9.30pm whereby most of the restaurant will be closed by this hour, I suggested Restaurant Nong Mai for supper as I saw they opened around 10pm while I was waiting for my turn in Brother John Burger. Restaurant Nong Mai is located at Damansara Utama (Samerow with Miru Dessert). We were greeted at the entrance and we find our own place to sit. Once seated, the staff gave us the menu. They have both Ala-Cate and Steamboat. We decided to order their Pork Set (300g), Thai Lemon Tea and White Rice. It was crowded when we arrived at 10pm and its filling up too. The ambiance of the place was good to enjoy the meal.

Thai Lemon Tea Hot was tasty and goes very well with the steamboat.
Thai Lemon Tea Hot @ RM 4.90
They have Tom Yum and Vegetable soup for the steamboat. The staff told me that their popular soup is veg soup yet we prefer to have Tom Yum Soup as our soup base. Tom Yum soup was simply delicious. For me, it’s the best choice for steamboat and also they refill the soup regularly without even requesting to do so.
How to enjoy the steamboat? Put some meat and vegetable in the Tom Yum soup, wait for 5 minutes for it to cook and then enjoy!! If still confused, don’t resist to ask the staff for the guidance, they will be more than happy to assist you.

Pork Set (300g) includes Vegetables, Noodles, Mushroom and Pork. The pork meat was tender and juicy and when dip it with the spicy sauce, it’s yum. The sauce have a good punch of heat in it.

Overall, it was a damn good dinner for us. Food was delicious, excellent service and reasonable price. Second Visit?YES.
