Old Sichuan Steamboat @ Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park

My boyfriend planned a surprise dinner date for me and I loved his choice. Thanks babe, Steamboat is perfect for a rainy day!! Don’t you guys agree with me?? Old Sichuan Steamboat is located at Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park. It was full house when we arrived at 8pm therefore we have to queue for our turn outside the restaurant. Thank god, they have small chairs for customers to sit. After long time waiting, we finally got our table. Once seated, the staff gave us the menu.  After flipping through the menu, we ordered Chinese Tea, Noodle, Dumpling, Meatballs, Meat, Vege and Soup (Spicy Mala Soup and Normal Soup). Actually, my boyfriend did all the ordering this time as everything is written in Chinese and they don’t seem to have any English Menu. Too Bad, I don’t know about all the choices available in the restaurant. It remains busy until 9.30pm then the crowd started to slow down towards their closing hours. The ambiance of the restaurant was good to enjoy the meal. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas for the customers and we got our table indoors.
Spicy Mala Soup was a little spicy for my likings and I have to drink a lot of Chinese Tea to cool down and my tongue was about to numb towards the end of the meal. Therefore, guys, choose your spiciness level wisely. If I’m not mistaken, we choose level 3.
My pick would be their Noodle, Dumpling and Meatball. * Must try in the Old Sichuan Steamboat.
They have a self-service counter for sauce and watermelon. Watermelon will be finished by 9.30pm so be early to grab it.
Overall, it was a good dinner for us. It reminds me the steamboat I had in Shanghai, China. Second visit? Why not!! The total bill for food and beverage is RM 124.77. The starting price for each item that we have ordered is between RM 10- RM 15.
