Day 3 @ Hat Yai, Thailand

I kinda realized while sleeping "Hey, shouldn't the alarm have sounded by now?" Nevertheless, I was too happy sleeping that I didn't care much. Eventually I decided to wake up and looked at my phone and it was 10 AM!!! The time is just nice to get ready and checkout from Hotel. Therefore, we decided to have our breakfast at Floating Market, which is located 15-20 minutes drive from our hotel however, the luck was not on our side. It was closed during our visit or I should say that we went on the wrong day. Hat Yai Floating Market is opened on Friday- Sunday (1pm-9pm) and being over-smart, we went on Monday morning. Hahahaha!!

Thus, we changed our plan to have breakfast at Decha Fried Chicken Restaurant as I read good reviews about the place online. I bought 1 Thigh (THB 50/RM 6.42) and 1 Drumstick (THB 20/RM 2.57). I would say that the fried chicken tastes crunchy, juicy and of course, oily as well, which is the small drawback of the fried chicken.

After that, we went again to the Tesco Lotus to buy things for my sister friends. She went for shopping while I went to the MCD next door to take away their Spinach & Cheese pie. Oh my goodness!! The Spinach & Cheese pie was damn good and it's a must try in MCD Hat Yai. My sister bought Pork Satay, Thai Milk Tea and Raw Mango from the stall located at the exit of Tesco Lotus so that we can have it while we were crossing the Malaysia- Hat Yai, Thailand Boarder later on.

After shopping, we went Jae Lek for late lunch. The food were excellent except the Seafood Basil that I left it untouched. Our last meal in Hat Yai was not memorable as the first meal we had in Hat Yai.

After lunch, we went all the way to see Sleeping Buddha that is located an hour drive from Hat Yai Town. Along the way to Sleeping Buddha, I bought a Thai Pancake from the random stall for THB 25/RM 3.21 and it tastes so good, much better than my seafood basil.

Sleeping Buddha was so beautiful and the place was not crowded with people. In my opinion, apart from the Sleeping Buddha, there is not much of other things to see. We spend about 1/2 hour here before leaving Hat Yai. I even bought a Coconut Ice-Cream as the weather was very hot in Hat Yai.

That’s all to our short getaway to Hat Yai, it’s time to bid farewell to Hat Yai. For me, it was a really fun and adventures trip with my sister. Thanks to her for accompany me to this little adventures trip. Love you sweetheart!!
